NYC correspondent Stuntboy (aka: ERIK FOSS) dropped in on the closing party for downtown art stars DAN COLEN and DASH SNOW’s full-on art mess “Nest” at DEITCH PROJECTS last week where legendary NY rocker ALAN VEGA of ’70s noise punk duo SUICIDE gave a rare performance backed by A.R.E. Weapons. The installation was a non-profit summer free-for-all representing an extreme version of Colen & Snow’s shared living space with loads of black graffiti and a floor padded with the debris of several thousand shredded phonebooks. One viewer accurately described it as a junkie hamster cage. From the smell of the place, it could have been just that…
