DETROIT///BLOOD, RUST, AND “CARNIVORA”…

Hajime Sorayama's girl gives the car a run for its money...
As Detroit readies itself for the city's annual orgy of industrial self-indulgence with the opening of the North American International Auto Show this Saturday, Motown's most relevant gallery, C-POP gives the revelers a taste of blood and rust with "Carnivora," its concurrent group show curated by New York's LES BARANY celebrating the dark side of the tail fin. Featuring original works by over 50 artists including Hajime Sorayama, R. Crumb, Glenn Barr, Robert Williams, Ford GT designer Camillo Pardo, HR Giger, Stanley Mouse, Ron English, and Mark Mothersbaugh, the show is a tour-de-force of stylistic prowess and a grand homage to the greatest invention of the 20th century.
