Actually, we have a lot of friends who could disprove that theory…

Visionary graphic designer STEFAN SAGMEISTER injected a much-needed jolt of pure fun into the NY art world when his interactive exhibit “Things I Have Learned In My Life So Far” at DEITCH PROJECTS last week. Featuring a 20-foot-tall lighted inflatable gorilla balloon on the gallery roof, the show proved nearly impossible to miss and after venturing past the front door, viewers were immediately immersed in a dream world where they were greeted by yet another giant gorilla and a massive wall of bananas spelling out “Self-Confidence Produces Fine Results.” It only got better from there.
