Los Angeles fashionista and collector MIGUEL DE LA BARRACUDA has teamed up with vinyl toymakers MINDSTYLE to create an extremely limited edition colorway of Hong Kong design king MICHAEL LAU’s new STANLEY KUBRICK pack and MICHAEL JORDAN figures available only at his Hollywood BARRACUDA shop. Produced in the ultra-desirable white colorway the late, great director’s legacy deserves, the KUBRICK PACK ($300 USD) includes characters from the signature movies, “A Clockwork Orange,” “2001: A Space Odyssey,” and “Full Metal Jacket,” while the MICHAEL JORDAN figure (in blue and black shirt colorways, $150) pays ultimate homage to the greatest player the game may ever see. In the wake of the instantly sold-out release of their first black-on-black reissue Hammerhead skate deck, Hollywood fashion hotspot BARRACUDA has again teamed up with OG skate legend CHRISTIAN HOSOI to release another round of skate heat. Dropping this Friday, June 18th at noon ($85 in-store and online) are limited-edition runs of 50 red-on-red and white-on-white decks sporting Hosoi’s iconic early graphics and totally original board shape, all signed and numbered by Christ himself. Also dropping Friday is an equally limited run of all-white and all-black Hosoi x Barracuda T-Shirts bearing the original Hosoi graphic and the new collaborative logo ($38). Don’t sleep. Now, teaming up with LA fashion boutique BARRACUDA, Hosoi has produced a limited run of 50 exact reproductions of the pioneering board shape in the to-die-for color combo of black-on-black.
